Change the corrosive environment
Conduct dust removal, desulfurization and other purification treatment for the gas, and strictly control the H2S content within the index.
The gas holder shall be as far away from the factory and workshop emitting corrosive gas as possible. The gas tank foundation must be higher than the ground. Corrosive sewage is not allowed to seep into the foundation or under the bottom plate of the tank.
Regularly replace or continuously replenish the water in the tank, often let the cover and middle water-saving seal rise and fall in the water, so that the water seal can be washed and the water seal can be replaced. However, the water volume in the tank of large gas holder is large, and it also contains cyanide, sulfide and other toxic substances, so it is generally not allowed to discharge. Corrosion inhibitor shall be added to the water tank to reduce corrosion.
Select corrosion-resistant materials
Although the ordinary carbon steel Q235-A used at present is cheap and easy to obtain, and is suitable for the manufacturing and processing of gas holders, its corrosion resistance is poor, which is very inappropriate for large and medium-sized gas holders. In order to further solve the corrosion problem, ordinary low alloy steel with good corrosion resistance, processing technology and economy should be selected, such as 16MnCu steel and 16MnR steel with Cu content guaranteed at 0.2-0.4%. Because according to experimental research and production practice, the atmospheric and seawater corrosion resistance of 16MnCu steel is 30% higher than that of 16Mn steel without Cu, and 16Mn steel is better than Q235-A steel. Some people also believe that when the content of Cu in steel is 0.2-0.3%, it is significantly beneficial to resist H2S stress corrosion, and the copper containing steel can also enhance the adhesion around the coating.
