The flow of low pressure gas in the refinery is generally unstable, and the pressure fluctuates sharply with the adjustment of the unit operation. Most of the gas can not be recycled directly, and is often discharged after the flare combustion. However, low pressure gas flare combustion not only pollutes the environment, but also wastes energy and has potential safety hazards. Therefore, eliminating torches and reducing energy consumption have become one of the main ways for refineries to tap potential and increase efficiency in recent years.
The main function of the gas holder is to recover and store low-pressure gas, and pressurize the low-pressure gas through the compressor and then send it to the high-pressure gas system, so as to adjust the pressure balance of the gas system and the fluctuation of demand, so as to avoid the pressure instability caused by the excess or insufficient gas in the entire gas pipe network system, and ensure the normal operation of each gas device. At the same time, the use of a large amount of low-pressure gas has increased the economic benefits of the enterprise, There is no environmental pollution and social benefits are improved.
Selection of gas holder
The gas tank is divided into dry type and wet type according to whether it is sealed with water.
2.1 Traditional wet gas holder
2.1.1 Consume a lot of water. Generally, the volume of the water storage tank is about 1/4 to 1/3 of the total volume of the gas tank. For example, a 5000m3 gas tank needs 2000 tons of water storage. During routine maintenance, it needs to replenish water regularly. When the water quality is poor, it needs to change a lot of water. During major maintenance, it needs to be completely drained and then replenished. In winter, the north also needs antifreeze and energy consumption.
2.1.2 Maintenance is difficult and there are many problems. The low pressure gas in the refinery contains a certain proportion of hydrogen sulfide and other gases. The cabinet body is easy to rust, and the maintenance cost is high. In addition, it is difficult to inspect the inside of the gas cabinet. Once the anticorrosive paint falls off, it is easy to corrode and perforate. If hot work is required, the process treatment is extremely troublesome, time-consuming (at least one month), and consumption is large (nitrogen treatment, and even need to drain all the water).
